The whole passport/visa system is a joke. It’s a major nuisance, a financial fleecing, and it doesn’t keep out undesirables.

It’s been the norm for several generations now, so we hardly even notice it. But it’s insidious. It’s the curtailment of our freedom to move. And it all began with World War I.
